Understanding Euthanasia

Euthanasia is the compassionate choice to end a pet's life peacefully when they are suffering with no realistic prospect of a good quality of life. There is no single right time—Dr Mustafa will help you think through your pet's quality of life, and whatever you decide will be made with love.

You are welcome to stay with your pet throughout the procedure, and many owners find comfort in doing so. If you would prefer not to be present, that is also completely understood.

Aftercare and Cremation Options

We work with Edenhills Pet Cremation, a trusted cremation service caring for families across Australia since 1984, servicing regional South Australia, including Whyalla.

Private cremation: your pet is cremated individually, and their ashes returned to you, with a range of urns, keepsakes and memorial items available.

Communal cremation: your pet is cremated alongside other animals; ashes are not returned. A simple, dignified option.
